First things first, VoIP Voice over Internet Protocol. At a basic level means that phone calls from their broadband connection. You really need a broadband connection to use as a normal telephone VoIP phone. The connections are not really enough.

VoIP works differently to your phone. The phone is based on an analog network, while VoIP is based on a digital system.
